IILPM Annual Global Awards 2022
Call for submissions
The IILPM Annual Global Awards are set out to recognise exceptional achievements in Legal Project Management. These awards showcase the incredible developments and innovative approaches in applying the principles and practices of project management to legal service delivery.
Following the successful conduct of its inaugural IILPM Global Summit (#IILPM_Live2022) in May 2022, the IILPM introduces the first-ever global awards to strengthen global knowledge exchange and networking in the field of legal project management.
Entries are open until 5pm CET on the 31 October 2022.
There is no application fee.
To submit an application:
- Make sure you have reached level 3 in at least 4 categories as listed in the LPM Organisation Maturity Model below;
- Download the IILPM_Awards 2022 Application_1.02;
- Complete the application form; and
- Send the completed application form to [email protected].
The announcements and Award Ceremony will be conducted at 5pm CET on the 30 November 2022.
Award Categories and Eligibility
Award categories and eligibility
The IILPM Global Advisory Committee (GAC) determined the following award categories for this year’s submissions:
- Innovation in LPM from a Law Firm or Alternative Legal Service Provider
- in LPM from an In-house Legal Department
Only one submission per organisation is permitted.
The GAC explicitly wishes to express its intent to call upon firms and organisations of any size and geographic origin to submit an application under the appropriate categories.
Selection Criteria
All submissions will be assessed and evaluated by a jury of experienced private practitioners, in-house counsel and consultants.
Key selection criteria include:
- The submitting organisation must have achieved a maturity level 3 in at least four categories of the LPM Organisation Maturity Model (see below).
- The submission requires a description of at least one initiative during the past 12 months (from July 2021) that has driven a significant improvement in the organisation’s LPM maturity level. Examples of areas that may be applicable to your innovative initiative may include: training or coaching programs, usage of technology, pricing practices, methodology and workplace tools.
- The submission requires a response to the 4 assessment questions (maximum of 2,000 words total) that should clearly outline the impact of applying LPM principles and practices in the entity.

Scope of Your Application
As per the application form, the scope of the submission should include:
- Award category selected for submission;
- Legal name, address and description of the applicant organisation;
- Contact person’s name and email address of the individual making the application on behalf of the applicant organisation;
- Responses to the Basis of Application section:

- With a maximum of 2,000 words, please describe the innovation in LPM your organisation has successfully implemented during the last 12 months (from July 2021) responding to the four assessment questions, responding to the following 4 questions:
- What was achieved?
- What were the key challenges and how were they resolved?
- What were the outcomes?
- How did you measure this success?
- Client/partner/business user testimonies are welcome where appropriate
- With a maximum of 2,000 words, please describe the innovation in LPM your organisation has successfully implemented during the last 12 months (from July 2021) responding to the four assessment questions, responding to the following 4 questions:
Short-listed applicant organisations may be required to attend an interview.
Award information may be published (except for information that may identify any clients) for short-listed or winning organisations.
The Award Ceremony will be conducted on the 30 November 2022.
